Conditionals
There are four types. Let's see when to use each one:
UNIVERSAL TRUTHS
POSSIBLE THINGS
IMPROBABLE THINGS
IMPOSSIBLE THINGS
 Let's see how we form it now:
0 If + present simple + present simple
  E.g.: If you heat ice, it melts.
1 If + present simple + will + infinitive
  E.g.: If I win the lottery, I will buy a house.
  I will buy a house if I win the lottery.
2 If + past + would + infinitive
  E.g.: If you were faster, you would win the race.
  You would win the race if you were faster.
3 If + past perfect + would + present perfect
  E.g.: If we had rushed, we wouldn’t have missed the bus.
  We wouldn’t have missed the bus if we had rushed.



Mixed Conditionals

If + past perfect + would + inf.  past perfect condition with a present result.

E.g.: If I had worked harder at school, I would have a better job now.

If + past simple + would + present perfect

E.g.: If I wasn’t afraid of spiders, I would have picked one up.
