Present Simple
We use the present simple tense to talk about habits.
A = Subj. + verb (-s 3rd p. sing.) + compl.
E.g.: I eat apples. She eats apples.
N = Subj. + don’t/doesn’t (3rd p. sing)+ verb + compl.
E.g.: I don’t eat apples. She doesn’t eat apples.
I = Do/Does (3rd p. sing)+ subj. + verb + compl.?
E.g.: Do you eat apples? Does she eat apples?
Present Continuous
We use the present continuous tense to talk about things that are happening in a concrete moment.
A = Subj. + am/is/are + verb-ing + compl.
E.g.: I am watching TV now.
N = Subj. + am not/isn’t/aren’t + verb-ing + compl.
E.g.: I am not watching TV now.
I = Am/Is/Are + subj. + verb-ing + compl.?
E.g.: Are you watching TV?
